Online Learning Technologies

1.)  Word Processor (pages or word)

I have a MacBook so I use Pages.  On the Apple website, Pages is described as “Pages is a powerful word processor that lets you create stunning documents.”  The advantages of using Pages is that you can quickly type notes and you can easily edit them.  The disadvantages of using Pages are that you might not learn as well as if you were writing your notes and technology can malfunction.  This is what Pages looks like:

2.)  Trello

On the Trello website, Trello is described as “Trello’s boards, lists, and cards enable you to organize and prioritize your projects in a fun, flexible, and rewarding way.”  The advantages of Trello are that it is an easy, online way to keep track of every part of your to-do list and there are visuals that help you see exactly what you’ve completed, what you’re working on, and what you haven’t started yet.  The disadvantage of Trello is probably only the fact that it is online because of technological difficulties.  This is what Trello looks like:

3.)  Study Scheduler

Study scheduler is an application where you submit when you are going to study in the upcoming week.  The advantages of Study Scheduler are that it asks you how you are feeling about your specific study session so it is easy to gauge how you are doing with a certain subject/assignment and it will ask you if you are studying during your study session to keep you accountable.  The disadvantages of Study Scheduler are that it can be distracting for some people if you get easily distracted by your phone and I did experience some minor technical difficulties.  This is what Study Scheduler looks like:
