PLEASE SEE these CHANGES for Livestock Check-in on Saturday, June 28

If you’re checking in market animals June 28th, see this!

Due to unforeseen circumstances there are a few changes for the Saturday, June 28 check-in of Swine, Lamb, Goat and Dairy Feeders as indicated on the map linked here, and also in the text below.

Please read the following carefully:

  • EVERYONE is asked to enter the gate from Columbus Street on the west side of the grounds.
  • Dairy Feeders are being weighed in the Swine Barn (along with the MQP pigs) and should proceed there at their requested time and pull into the swine barn.
  • EVERYONE is asked to exit through either the Wilson Steet gate on the North side of the grounds, or through the east gate near Rising Park.
  • EVERYONE should avoid entering and exiting through the main gate at Fair Avenue and Broad Street.

To recap for all species being checked in on Saturday, June 28:

Enter the gate on Columbus Street from the west side of the grounds. Exit is to be made through either the Rising Park gate, or the Wilson Avenue gate on the north side of the grounds.

Swine MQP: MQP pigs will be weighed in on June 28 at the Fairgrounds between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. by entering at the Columbus Street gate and driving through the Swine Barn. MQP exhibitors who are also checking in pigs for the “live” show will have their “live” pigs checked in at the same time and building as the MQP pigs are weighed. (Exhibitors with only pigs intended for the ‘live’ show and not participating in MQP will go through the Ed Sands Building – see below.) Prior to Friday, June 27 swine MQP exhibitors are asked to schedule a time for arrival at the Fairgrounds on the 28th by following this link: https://osu.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_aWb5RP2s8IpzsR8.  When scheduling on-line, MQP exhibitors will be asked to submit their pigs’ EID 840 numbers and housing information. Please be patient as the dairy feeder calves will be using the same facilities for their weigh-in.

Pigs checking in for the ‘live’ show in October: Pigs will be checked-in at the Fairgrounds on Saturday, June 28 between 7 a.m. and 11.m. Swine exhibitors with their tagged pigs intended for the ‘live’ show in October should enter the Fairgrounds gate on Columbus Street between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. on June 28 and upon arrival will be directed to follow the traffic line on the left, and proceed into the Ed Sands building. If pigs are being housed at a place other than the exhibitor’s residence, completed housing forms should be submitted on the 28th at check-in. Housing forms may be downloaded from here.

Market and MQP lambs: Lambs will be checked-in at the Fairgrounds on Saturday, June 28 between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. Prior to Friday, June 27 lamb exhibitors are asked to schedule a time for arrival at the Fairgrounds on the 28th by following this link: https://osu.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_1TirBYWqsX4Gg1o. When scheduling online, lamb exhibitors will be asked to submit their lamb EID 840 numbers, the scrapie tag numbers and housing information.

Lamb exhibitors should enter the Fairgrounds gate on Columbus Street with their tagged lambs at their scheduled time between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. on June 28 and will be directed to follow the traffic line on the right and proceed to the Sheep/Goat Barn on the north side of the grounds. Lambs for MQP will also be weighed at this time.

Market goats for the ‘live’ show in October: Goats will be checked-in at the Fairgrounds on Saturday, June 28 between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. Prior to Friday, June 27 goat exhibitors are asked to schedule a time for arrival at the Fairgrounds on the 28th by following this link: https://osu.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6fZALFnTTWD3LX8.  When scheduling on-line, goat exhibitors will be asked to submit their goat EID 840 numbers, the scrapie tag numbers and housing information.

Goat exhibitors should enter the Fairgrounds gate on Columbus Street with their tagged goats at their scheduled time between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. on June 28 and will be directed to travel the traffic line to the right and proceed to the AAA Building on the north side of the grounds.

Dairy beef feeders: Dairy beef feeders will be checked-in and weighed at the Fairgrounds on Saturday, June 28 between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. in the SWINE Barn. Dairy beef feeder exhibitors should enter the Fairgrounds gate off Columbus Street with their tagged calves and should proceed to pull through the Swine Barn. Prior to Friday, June 27 Dairy Beef Feeder exhibitors are asked to schedule a time for arrival at the Fairgrounds on the 28th by following this link: https://osu.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8iYJlTVAfo0zff0.  When scheduling on-line, Dairy Beef Feeder exhibitors will be asked to submit their EID 840 numbers and housing information. Please be patient as the MQP pigs will be using the same facilities for their weigh-in.

If exhibitors are bringing more than one species to check-in on June 28, you are advised to plan at least 15 to 30 minutes between each species for scheduling purposes.
