Sheep Exhibitors: Important Junior Fair Updates

Jr. Fair SHEEP Exhibitors,

There are some important updates/changes to bring your attention to regarding fair. Move-in procedures have changed.

1. Sheep must be stalled by 1:30 p.m. Exhibitor meeting will be at 2 p.m.
2. Your weigh-in/check-in time is 2:30-4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 5^th.
3. Tack should be brought to the fairgrounds on Thursday or Friday (October 3^rd/October 4^th).
4. All sheep will be stalled in the former Beef Barn (north of the track) with meat/market goats.
5. The Sheep Show will begin approximately 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9^th (or at the conclusion of the Meat/Market Goat Show).
6. More info about tie fitting tents and areas/etc. will be shared closer to fair.

Move-in Procedures: If bringing Sheep only, we recommend arriving between 11:30-1:30 p.m. to avoid meat/market goat arrival.

SHEEP – Enter from Wilson Ave gate and proceed to the west end of the Sheep/Goat Barn.

If arriving in the morning with SHEEP AND GOATS:

• Take the drive on the north side of the Sheep/Goat Barn toward the east end.
• When approaching the west end of the Sheep/Goat Barn, quickly unload lambs and put them in their pens.
• Proceed to EAST END to unload goats and weigh off the trailer.

If arriving after 11:30 a.m. with SHEEP ONLY:

• Take the drive on the north side of the Sheep/Goat Barn to the east end.
• Sheep will unload from the EAST END of the Sheep/Goat Barn (AFTER 11:30 a.m.).

If arriving before 11:30 a.m., with SHEEP ONLY (no goats):

• At the WEST END of the barn, pull up facing the track to unload on the WEST END of the Sheep/Goat Barn.

• To exit, use Columbus Street Gate.
• DO NOT USE the Fair Avenue (Main Gate) on move-in day.
