Meat/Market Goat Exhibitors: Important Junior Fair Updates

Jr. Fair MEAT/MARKET Goat Exhibitors,

There are some important updates/changes to bring your attention to regarding fair. Move-in procedures have changed.

1. Your weigh-in/check-in time is 8:30-11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 5^th.
2. All market goats will be weighed off the trailer on Saturday October 5^th. DO NOT arrive earlier than 8:30 a.m.
3. Tack should be brought to the fairgrounds on Thursday or Friday (October 3^rd/October 4^th).
4. All meat/market goats will be stalled in the former Beef Barn (north of the track) with sheep.
5. The meat/market goat showmanship will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 8^th in Feeder Creek Vet Arena (north side of the track).
6. The meat/market goat show will take place at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 9^th in Feeder Creek Vet Arena (north side of the track).
7. More info about tie fitting tents and areas/etc. will be shared closer to fair.

Move-in Procedures:

MEAT/MARKET GOATS – Enter from Wilson Ave gate and proceed to the EAST end of the Sheep/Goat Barn.

• Take the drive on the north side of the barn to the east end of the barn.
• Market Goats will weigh off the trailer on the EAST end of the barn.
• To exit, use Columbus Street Gate.
• DO NOT USE the Fair Avenue (Main Gate) on move-in day.

If bringing SHEEP AND GOATS on the same trailer:

• Take the drive on the north side of the Sheep/Goat Barn toward the east end.
• When approaching the west end of the Sheep/Goat Barn, quickly unload lambs and put them in their pens.
• Proceed to EAST END to unload goats and weigh off the trailer.
