Isabella Byrd receives State 4-H Award

The 2022 Ohio 4-H Achievement Awards were presented in June at the Nationwide & Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center in Columbus. Local 4-H member Isabella Byrd received the Health & Safety Achievement Award.

Isabella Byrd, 19, is the daughter of Neilston and Christina Byrd. She is an eleven-year member of Fairfield County 4-H. Isabella is a freshman Future Scientist Scholar at Columbus State Community College, majoring in Natural Resources. Two projects she likes are First Aid in Action and Candy Making. She thinks 4-H is a great opportunity and hopes many other youths will get the chance to experience the things it has to offer.

Ohio 4-H Achievement Awards are presented annually to individuals for outstanding work in their project area. Twenty-nine youth received 2022 honors. The evening was hosted by the Ohio 4-H Foundation.
