July Weigh-In/Tagging Date and Changes for Dairy Feeders, Lambs, Goats, AND Swine

The Fairfield County Junior Fair will be tagging in and weighing animals on the third Saturday of July in 2022. The specific date is July 16th at the Fairfield County Fairgrounds in Lancaster. The animals that will be tagged and/or weighed are as follows:

  • Dairy Feeders in the Beef Barn starting at 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
  • Market/MQP Lambs in the Swine Barn from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
  • Market Goats will be tagged in the #50 barn from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
  • Market/MQP Swine will be tagged in the Hog Barn area from 7 a.m. until 12 noon.

Please be advised exhibitors can have others bring their animals that day if it conflicts with your schedule. Exhibitors will be responsible for completing all required paperwork prior to the tagging date. If you think you will have difficultly getting all your animals tag in this time frame, we will make sure you are tagged in that day. The week prior to the event you will have the opportunity to inform if you think you will have a conflict in getting everything weighed and/or tagged due to number of projects. Hogs will not leave your trailer they will be tagged in the trailer. Check with your 4-H and FFA advisors as we come closer to the date for more information.
