Applications, background check AND References are due to the OSU Extension Office by February 1st. Application are available here. New Volunteer Training will take place online through an online course system and must be completed by April 15th. Advisors are needed to support members across the entire county. There are a few clubs that need additional help so potential volunteers can ‘learn the ropes’ and not have the responsibility to take on the entire club or a new club. There is still time to join the Tractor Maintenance & Small Engines 4-H Club! The next meeting is on Monday, January 31, 2022 at 7 pm at the Ag Center. The Fairfield County Ag Center is located at 831 College Ave, Lancaster, OH 43130. This 4-H club teaches individuals how to work on small engines and tractors while visiting different businesses and agriculture shops throughout the county.
During this meeting, Officer elections will also be held so if you are interested in taking on a position please prepare a short introduction speech. No experience is necessary to join – This is a great opportunity to learn something new so bring a friend or two!

The 2022 proposed meeting schedule will be every Monday from January 10 – March 7, 2022. There is an extra week built in in case there is a ‘snow day’ and the banquet will wrap up the year on March 21, 2022. Have questions? Contact our office at 740-653-5419!
Advisors and Youth age 13 & Older,
Registration is now open for the 2022 Ohio 4-H Conference to be held on Saturday, March 12 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. Conference check-in will start at 8:00 am with sessions starting at 9 am. The day should be finished by 4 pm.
Fairfield County will be having at least 4 advisors recognized that day, so please plan on helping them celebrate!
Registration forms and the $40 payment (checks made to 4-H Advisory Committee, please) are due to our office by 4 pm on February 8th. There will be scholarships for youth that completed an Ohio Achievement Form and the first 5 adults that register for the conference.

Sessions and workshops coded ‘Teens’ is geared towards teens. Sessions and workshops coded as ‘Adults’ are for adult volunteers. Sessions for both groups are coded as ‘Both.’ Please keep in mind when registering for the Conference that a person can’t attend a workshop and session during the same time period.

The Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation has more than $60,000 in scholarships available to Ohio students from rural, suburban and urban communities who are pursuing degrees connected in some way to agriculture.
Through 12 scholarship funds, approximately 50 awards will be made to deserving students. The deadline to apply online at ohiofarmbureau.org/foundation is Feb. 28, and all applications require letters of recommendation, an essay, school transcripts and photos.
