Don’t forget to sign up for summer judging!

Summer judging registration is now open through June 30th.  See your member handbook pages 20-28 for details on what projects are judged each day as well as what you need to bring with you for judging.

To sign up, please go to your Ohio 4-H online account and follow the instructions that were emailed to each family on May 31, 2017.

Monday, July 10th, the following projects are judging: Health (#300, 351, 352, 353, 357, 358), Family Life & Child Development (#434, 435, 436, 365.17, 442), Home Decorating & Designing (#405, 491, 494, 495, 432M), Money Management (#445 & 448) and all Food projects (459, 461, 462, 463, 467, 469, 472, 474, 475, 476, 477, 483, 484, 485, 486, 487).

Tuesday from noon to 2 pm is the Demonstration Contest.  Please call the office (740-652-7260) with the title of the demonstration by July 3 at 3 pm.

Tuesday, July 11th, the following projects are judging: Self Determined (all #365 except Babysitting, Camp Counseling and Natural Resources), Collectibles (#496), Quilting (#498, 499, 365), Theater Arts (#596, 597, 598), Writing (#587, 588), Get Started in Art (#592), Leadership (#370, 371, 372, 373, 374, 375, 376, 377, 378, 365.11, 382, 383), Photography (#584, 585, 586, 589M) , Cake Decorating (#492), and Scrapbooking (#497).

There is modeling practice July 11th from 10-11 am for those taking clothing projects at Liberty Union High School, 500 W. Washington Street, Baltimore.  Members of the Fashion and Nutrition Board will be there to help sewing participants learn the proper way to model. (There is no registration required for this event)

Wednesday, July 12th, the following projects are judging: Engineering –  Science Fun (#490, 493, 500), RC Vehicles (#504), Robotics (#507, 508, 512M), Rockets (#501, 502, 503, 503M) Bicycle (#517, 518), Electricity (#527, 528, 529, 530, 531), Rope (#540), Small Engines (#541, 542, 543), Lawncare (#548), Young Engineers in Solar Energy (#550), ATV (#555), Woodworking (#556, 557, 558, 559, 560M) and Welding (#573); Environmental Science – Discovering 4-H (#091), Horseless Horse (#173), All About Dogs (#200), Vet Science (#241, 242, 243), Explore the Outdoors (#611), Exploring Ponds (#617), Why Trees Matter (#620), Ohio Birds (#621), Trapping Muskrats (#622), Fishing (#623, 624), Gun Safety (#630), Basic Archery (#631), Beekeeping (#641), Insects (#644, 645, 646), Gardening (#670, 671, 691, 692), and Self Determined Natural Resources.

Thursday, July 13th will be clothing judging from 11 am to 4:30 pm.  This includes the consumer projects (Look Great for Less and Shopping Savvy) as well as all clothing construction projects. The Style Review will be Thursday evening at Liberty Union High School starting at 7 pm. To be eligible for county placement and for state fair selection, 4-H’ers must participate in judging on July 13th AND participate in the Style Review.
