Come and help make simple sundresses for ‘Dress A Girl Around the World’ Saturday morning, March 25, 9 am to Noon at the Extension Office.

This can be a great opportunity for a Citizenship Activity for this year’s 4-H projects!

The Wilmington College – Little International is a showmanship contest designed to teach 4-H and FFA members how to show multiple species of livestock. This year Little International will be held on April 1st, 2017. This event will be located at the Wilmington College Equine Center. Registration will be from 7:00AM-8:00AM. From 8:00AM-9:00AM we will have demonstrations on how to show each species, with the contest starting promptly afterwards.

There will be THREE age divisions:

  •                Beginner (Ages 9-12)
  •                Intermediate (Ages 13-16)
  •                Senior (Ages 17-21)

There will be FOUR species that will be shown:

  •                Equine
  •                Beef Cattle
  •                Sheep
  •                Goats

Participants can either choose to show all four species OR they can pick whichever species they would like to show; however it is a great learning experience. ALL ANIMALS AND SHOW EQUIPMENT WILL BE PROVIDED.

This is a perfect opportunity for youth to learn or enhance their showmanship skills and gain new interests in showing livestock.
