Five 4-H youth members in Fairfield County, Morgan Kaper, Emily Blackwell, Kamala Sweeney, Jacob Hyme, and Keji Latio, are continuing in the Ohio 4-H Healthy Living Advocate program! They join over 20 4-H Healthy Living Advocates across Ohio in promoting health in their communities.
They can be a resource to you as you consider expanding healthy living programs in your clubs and community. If you are interested in what programs they can provide to your club, please contact them directly, or email Leslie at email@example.com.

Counselor College is open to any teen, 14-18 years of age who wants to be a 4-H Camp Counselor. Held at Canter’s Cave 4-H Camp, Jackson, Ohio – March 18th@1:00 p.m. – March 19th@10:30 a.m. See: http://gallia.osu.edu/news/2017-counselor-college. Deadline to register is March 1, 2017.

If you missed the county Achievement Form Workshop last week, take note that there will be an Achievement Form Work Day that the Ohio 4-H Teen Leadership Council is hosting on December 17, 2016 at the 4-H Center. The work day will consist of 2 sessions. The first session will take place from 9:30-11:30 AM. This session will cover basic information about completing the Achievement Form. The second session will take place from 1-3 PM. During this session we will have work stations and coaches available to help attendees with their form. Potential participants can RSVP to either Hannah Epley (Epley.firstname.lastname@example.org) or Becca Goodman (email@example.com) with their name, county and role (e.g. Parent, member, advisor, etc.). *RSVP is not required but highly encouraged.
4-H and/or FFA youth who will be 14 as of 1/1/17 and are currently a freshman in high school are encouraged to apply for the 2017 Fairfield County Junior Fair Board. Tractor Maintenance & Small Engines 4-H Club Do you know of someone who has an interest in maintaining engines and equipment? Maybe they work regularly with dirt bikes, lawn mowers, tractors, or other small engine powered equipment. The Tractor and Small Engine 4-H Club may be for them! The club meets every Monday in January and February and has a banquet in March. The first meeting will be Monday, January 9th at 7:00 p.m. at the Fairfield County Ag Center. For the fourth year in a row, the men of Alpha Gamma Rho and the women of Sigma Alpha at The Ohio State University will be hosting a Young Leaders Conference for all high school age students with an interest in agriculture. The event is geared toward helping students gain both professional and leadership skills, with a focus being in the agricultural industry.
