Fairfield County Junior Fair – Mandatory Market Rabbit Tattooing will be 9/10/2016

Attention all Fairfield County 4-H and FFA youth who are enrolled and plan to enter market rabbit entries to the 2016 Fairfield County Junior Fair!

Market rabbits must be tattooed by the Fairfield County Junior Fair Rabbit Committee on the 10th of September between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. at the Fairfield County Fairgrounds. They CANNOT be tattooed on their own by anyone other than the Fairfield County Junior Fair Rabbit Committee.

Like Natural Resources and Camping? Consider the 4-H Forestry and Wildlife Camp in September at Canters Cave!

Do you have youth interested in natural resources and want a camping experience totally dedicated to exploring the outdoors through forestry and wildlife education? Then 4-H Forestry and Wildlife Camp at Canters Cave in Jackson from September 23-24 is just for them. Thanks to generous support from the Ohio 4-H Foundation campers can attend for just $20 each, reduced fee is limited to the first 40 youth to sign up. Youth will explore tree identification, wildlife habitat study, animal identification, orienteering, map reading, outdoor cooking and shooting sports disciplines during camp. Style Review tomorrow at the Decorative Arts Center

All 4-H Clothing participants – Don’t forget!
Tomorrow, August 13th you have the opportunity to model this year’s completed 4-H Clothing project for guests visiting the Edith Head exhibit at the Decorative Arts Center.  If you are participating, please arrive fully dressed by 1:45 pm for the Style Review to start at 2:00 pm.  The Decorative Arts Center is located at 145 E Main Street in Lancaster.  You will take the elevator to the top floor and come down the grand staircase for the style show.  This is the last weekend for the exhibit, and they are expecting a lot of visitors.  Our projects previously displayed were a big hit with those attending the exhibit.  Let’s show them how stylish we are in Fairfield County!

Fairfield County Junior Fair Shirts – Now On Sale!

The Fairfield County Junior Fair Board will be selling Junior Fair Shirts to the public as a fundraiser between now and September 9th. All shirt orders are pre-order and youth and adult sizes are available. Order forms and payment are due to the OSU Extension Office by Friday, September 9th. When shirts are completed, we will let you know when they are available for pickup at the OSU Extension Office.

The cost per shirt is $12.00. Shirts will be purple with white screen print.
