Congrats Josie Montoney on Earning the Ohio Horsemen’s Benevolent & Protection Association Scholarship!

This year the Ohio 4-H Development team worked with the Ohio Horsemen’s Benevolent & Protective Association (Ohio HBPA) to create the Ohio HBPA scholarship program for past 4-H’ers. To be eligible for this scholarship, youth must be an incoming freshman in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences at The Ohio State University, participated in Ohio 4-H, and have a grade point average of 2.5. Preference were given to candidates with experience in the equine industry or with plans to pursue studies in equine sciences. For academic year 2016-2017, 27 past 4-H’ers will receive a $1,000 scholarship. Fairfield County youth, Josie Montoney, was one of these scholarship recipients. This will be an annual scholarship. Please consider applying for this scholarship if attending The Ohio State University’s College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences in the future.
