Trello App:

This app consist of categories such as “Things To Do”, “Doing”, and “Done”. The “Things To Do” category allows students to make note of what needs to be done next or what is coming up in their schedule. The “Doing” category is cards. Cards can be added to this category with descriptions on times, labels, checklists. These are assignments students should be doing. The “Done” category is where students put their submitted work. Reminding themselves that these particular assignments etc. are completed. The app allows students to make due dates with alarms attached. There are labels that can be made with different colors. There is a members page. If there are steps needed to complete a task, there is a checklist to make sure all steps are completed. The app also has a home page which provides the student of knowing what needs to be done next.

Strengths:

  1. Organized by Boards- School Board, Exam Board
  2. Each subject or course can be divided by colors

Weakness:

  1. There is no notification alert that comes directly to their technology or phone (have to physically get on the app)

Study Manager App:

This app has a calendar from month to month. During the week, students can insert upcoming information such as quizzes, exams, homework assignments and insert appropriate study times. When adding an event, the app instructs the student to add a study beginning and end time. The location of studying such as dorm or library, alone or with friends and the study event title. Once confirmed the app will automictically adjust the calendar. On the day of, a notification will alert the student.

Strengths of app:

  1. A weekly organized and detailed calendar based off of weekly assignments or to do task related to  school work
  2.  Daily notification reminders

*SMART goals are important for students because these goals particularly help students become organized in their goal. Students can clarify their goals and focus on achieving their goals by taking steps. The goal is planned out step by step and once one step is completed the goal will gradually become more achievable. These are goals that students can write down or even note in their phone or on a calendar.

S: Specific (define a specific goal)

M: Measurable (make sure you can track your progress)

A: Achievable (Do you have the proper resources?)

R: Realistic (Is this goal relevant to your beneficiary?)
