New Family and Consumer Sciences Educator

My name is Laura Halladay and I am excited to join the Greene County OSU Extension team as the Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Educator. I grew up in a rural area south of Buffalo, NY. I graduated from Cedarville University with a degree in Sports and Exercise Studies. Upon graduation, I moved to New Jersey and later New York City working in the parks and recreation industry. In 2011, I returned to Ohio to continue my education by obtaining a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Sinclair Community College and became a Nutrition and Dietetic Technician Registered (NDTR). I began my time with The Ohio State University Extension in Clark County as a SNAP-Ed Program Assistant and was later promoted to SNAP-Ed Program Coordinator. I am thrilled to continue my extension career in Greene County.

“Family and Consumer Sciences teaches individuals and families the skills they need to live healthfully in all areas of life. We offer people the knowledge, skills and tools needed to make healthy, informed choices which means healthier lives, better finances and more positive relationships at home, at work and in the community.” Learn more at fcs.osu.edu
