The recent confirmation of the coronavirus in the state of Ohio has led to public health concerns related to disease transmission. As a result, The Ohio State University has been proactively implementing protocols for insuring the safety and health for our students and clientele. After consultation with college and university leadership via communication sent to all county Extension offices, many programs, meetings and other functions that were scheduled effective immediately through March 31, 2020 have been modified, rescheduled, or canceled. Most programs held by other county Extension offices and by other sponsors have been or may be rescheduled/canceled.
We understand the disappointment for modifying these meetings. With groups like this coming together from around the county, we need to follow the guidelines put forth by the Centers for Disease Control and the Ohio Department of Health to prevent the spread of this communicable respiratory illness.
We will be in contact as soon as we have information on the rescheduled programs or any other updates. In the meanwhile, if you have specific questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to Kim or myself. Thank you for all you do and your understanding in the matter. We look forward to seeing you in the future while keeping business functioning.
