To be eligible for participation in the Greene County Fair, potential youth exhibitors must participate in one of the following Livestock Quality Assurance Programs. If youth are taking the following projects, this is required: Beef (market steers, breeding, feeder calf), Dairy (heifers, feeders and cows if lactating or have lactated and feeders if selling- heifers before lactation do not need it), goats (all), poultry (all), rabbit (all), sheep (all), llamas & alpacas, and swine. Parents are encouraged to attend but not required.
Youth need to attend a QA training conducted by OSU Extension or FFA Advisor. Clubs will not be able to conduct this training in 2020.
New for 2020! All llama and alpaca exhibitors must participate in this yearly requirement.
The following trainings will count as the annual training to show during the 2020 4-H year. All will take place at the OSU Extension Office located at 100 Fairground Road, Xenia, OH
If youth attend a Quality Assurance training in another county or a statewide program, a copy of the certificate must be on file with our office. This is the responsibility of the youth exhibitor to get a copy to our office.
All Quality Assurance trainings must be completed by June 1 to show for 2020.
