4-H Science Saturdays

4-H Science Saturdays are back for 2018!

It’s time for another 4-H Science Saturday on February 3, at the Nationwide & Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center in Columbus. We’ll learn about sound science and uncover the secrets behind sound waves and electromagnetic fields with OSU’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. You’ll create a force field to build a working speaker out of paper  to amplify your phone, iPpod, or Mp3 player. Be sure to bring some type of phone, iPod or Mp3 player and a friend to rock out to the cool tunes you will hear!

4-H Science in the Classroom

Meadowview Elementary (Milford) students are excited to begin their ChickQuest adventure.  ChickQuest is 4-H School Enrichment program that challenges youth to use science, technology, engineering, and math skills to investigate the life cycle of an embryonic chicken egg. From monitoring living eggs to observing fluffy chicks, students use a logbook to record data and observations.

Eggs were set in incubators today and are estimated to hatch on May 3rd.
