Goodbye to Clermont County

Hi All,

It is time to say thank you to Clermont County for allowing me to spend the last few years with you. I have enjoyed the experience and have learned along the way. If you would like to stop by, my last day in Clermont County will be tomorrow, November 29, 2017. I will be moving on to Ohio State University Extension, Greene County as the Agriculture and Natural Resources Educator.

Livestock Skillathon Practice is Underway!

Livestock Skillathon Practice is off to a great start! Join us tomorrow, June 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the 4-H Hall for another opportunity to practice. See complete practice information below:

LIVESTOCK SKILL-A-THON PRACTICE will be held on the following dates. Members can review information and become familiar with how the skill-a-thon stations will be set-up. Individuals will be available to assist and answer questions. We ask that any member under the age of 16 be accompanied by a parent/guardian or club advisor. Below are the dates and times of the Skill-a-thon practice sessions.

Amazon Adventures at 4-H Camp Graham

4-H Camp Graham visited the Amazon this past week with 4-Hers from Clermont and Hamilton Counties. A sampling of scenes is below and more to come soon. Thank you to all who helped to make this possible: 4-H volunteers, Camp Counselors, campers, and many more!

LOOK to Clermont Summer Leadership Experience

Summer Leadership Experience – June 19 to 23, 2017

The LOOK summer program will consist of 5 consecutive full days of leadership training. The primary focus will be on team building, personal finance, public safety, and community development. Embedded in this experience will be a service learning project; allowing students to put their leadership skills to action in furthering the Clermont County community. The experience will include a college visit to The Ohio State University main campus. At the end of this experience students will participate in a commencement exercise.  The LOOK to Clermont Summer Leadership Experience is June 19-23, 2017.  Cost is $300 and  includes meals and programming materials.   Download a registration form or contact OSU Extension Clermont County at 513-732-7070 to RSVP by June 1.

16-17 LOOK to Clermont Class to Host Leadership Day

The 2016-2017 LOOK to Clermont class will hold the inaugural LOOK to LEAD Leadership Day on April 27th at the 4-H Hall on the Clermont County Fairgrounds. The day will be fun filled and action packed with leadership activities for Clermont County High School Students. The day will run from 9 am to 1 pm with lunch provided. There is no cost for students to attend. Students from all Clermont County schools are welcome to attend. Registration is available through April 18 at the following link. Students may learn more by contacting a current member of LOOK to Clermont in their high school or by contacting the OSU Extension Clermont County office at 513-732-7070.

Registration Now Open for LOOK Programs

Registration is now open for LOOK to Clermont Youth Leadership Program for the 2017-18 school year.  Clermont County High School Juniors and Seniors may register by contacting the OSU Extension, Clermont County office or by seeing their school guidance counselor.

LOOK to Clermont Youth Leadership Program is managed by OSU Extension Clermont County in partnership with UC Clermont College.  Students are eligible to earn college credit through both institutions. The program is a series of classroom and practical learning experiences designed to develop and enhance leadership skills and potential, as well as increase awareness of critical issues in Clermont County such as community development. Participants also complete a group leadership project that benefits the community.

Registrations are also being accepted for the LOOK Summer Leadership Experience. This summer program consists of five themed fun-filled days, packed with leadership experiences.
