A Day in the Ring

Back for it’s second year, A Day in the Ring adds cattle to the show!  A Day in the Ring was held on Thursday, July 25, in the Gibbons Arena.  The show was a special event in partnership with the Clermont County Board of Developmental Disabilities.  Clermont County Junior Fair youth were partnered with an individual from the Board of Developmental Disabilities to educate them about their project and teach them how to show a goat or cow.  Participants then exhibited their animal in a non-competitive show.  The goal of A Day in the Ring is to allow individuals with special needs the opportunity to achieve success in the show ring and for 4-H members to utilize their animal projects to mentor others.

After the show, contestants and their mentors enjoyed lunch together, and a few were featured in a live broadcast with 99.5FM The Edge!
