Clermont County Board of Developmental Disabilities and MyPlate

We have had the privilege to work with a group of individuals from the Clermont County Board of Developmental Disabilities!  We just finished week 3 of our 6 week session.  Class lessons so far have included; MyPlate, Fruits and Veggies and Whole Grains!

Eating healthy doesn’t have to boring!  No need to only eat salads and tasteless foods!  Eating a well-balanced diet of fruit, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins and low-fat dairy can satisfy our taste-buds, provide the nutrition needed to be healthy and give us energy to make it through the day!

To help do this, make sure your plate is half filled with fruit and veggies!  This time of year, we have a wide variety of fresh fruits and veggies to choose from.  If fresh aren’t available, frozen and canned are a good option too!  For whole grains, choose grains that are 100% whole grain!  Look for the whole grain logo on your breads and cereals.

Making little changes to our diet, make huge differences for our health!  For more information on the classes offered at the OSU Extension, please call us at 513-732-7070.
