Assessment Variations by Population

Assessment findings will vary based on age, gender, race, and individual co-morbidities. Evidence-based assessment requires  a sensitive and humble approach that respects culture, family, community, and personal values and norms. Socioeconomic conditions, public safety, “everyday” experiences of discrimination, and the availability of resources are determinants of health that affect the well-being of individuals within communities… The resource list that follows is an abbreviated list of considerations based on specific population health characteristics, and is not intended to be exhaustive.
