Artifacts

My artifact is the study lounges at Blackburn House.  These lounges provide space where I have made new friends, completed homework, or spent hours studying.  These are significant to me because I spend a copious amount of time in them.  I am much more motivated to work on assignments or prepare for exams while in these rooms since they are usually populated with other hard-working students.  I have made many friends while in these lounges and have also discovered other students on my floor I share a class with.  I much prefer studying in the study lounges over the libraries.  Especially now that it is chilly outside, these lounges tend to be more convenient. If any of the rooms are empty, me and my friends hang out in them, eat together, and watch T.V. shows.  All in all, the study lounges in Blackburn House are some of my favorite places in all of campus.

About Me

Hi! My name is Randi Etheridge and I am a first-year student at The Ohio State University. I was born and raised in Long Island, New York and went to Kennedy High School. In high school, I played Varsity Badminton and Tennis. In college, I am currently specializing in both International Business and Finance and am minoring in Spanish. I’m involved in Business Scholars, Columbus Blue Jackets Club, MoneyThink, and am a Fisher Ambassador. I hope to one day work for either the State Department where I can deal with issues in foreign affairs, or be in a sales position where I get to travel often. Some of my interests include working out, watching hockey games (specifically New York Islanders), and hanging out with my friends. A fun fact about me is that I am certified bilingual in Spanish and English, and I can name all of the capitals of every country in the world.
