Year in Review

[ “Year in Review”  is where you should reflect on the past year and show how you have evolved as a person and as a student.  You may want to focus on your growth in a particular area (as a leader, scholar, researcher, etc.) or you may want to talk about your overall experience over the past year.  For more information, go to: http://honors-scholars.osu.edu/e-portfolio. Academic Enrichment:

While at OSU, one of my academic goals is to reach and maintain a 3.5 gpa. Although a 3.5 is a good mark, I do not want this to limit me either. While this may be the goal, it is actually only a minimum benchmark. If i find it attainable to achieve grades that would put me over a 3.5, there is no doubt that all will be done to surpass this mark. By securing a 3.5, this will hopefully allow me to secure multiple internship positions that would ultimately help me secure a career once I graduate from OSU. Besides grades, I know that other areas will need growth too such as communication skills, involvement outside of the classroom, and leadership positions. In order to ensure that I can balance all all the tasks that I have set out for myself, time management along with properly utilizing my resources will be key.

Career

[“Career” is where you can collect information about your experiences and skills that will apply to your future career.  Like your resume, this is information that will evolve over time and should be continually updated.   For more information, go to: http://honors-scholars.osu.edu/e-portfolio. Wind turbine Presentation

In this group assignment, it was asked that the group research a topic of interest that involved a field of engineering and create a presentation for it. My two partners along with myself decided to research wind turbines and how their use could be implemented in residential areas. The presentation covered the components of a wind turbine, the advantages and disadvantages along with challenges faced, and the future of residential wind turbines.
