Nivedita Bhaktha (Quantitative Research, Evaluation and Measurement)

Bhaktha, Nivedita

Nivedita received a Master’s in Statistics from OSU in 2015 and before that she had received a M.Sc. degree in Statistics from University of Mumbai in 2013. She is currently a first year student in Quantitative Research, Evaluation and Measurement (QREM) at The Ohio State University. This semester, she will be teaching two sections of ESQREM 7648, in 329 Ramseyer Hall, between 12:10-1:40 PM and 4:30-6:00 PM on Thursdays. She likes to read novels, knit, watch TV shows and travel. Anna Brady (Educational Psychology)

Anna Brady received a Bachelor in Science in Psychology from Florida State University in 2014. She is currently a first year student in the Educational Psychology doctoral program at The Ohio State University with interests in motivation and self-regulation in college aged students. Jing Chen (Educational Psychology)

Chen, Jing

Jing Chen received a Bachelor in Education from Beijing Normal University in 2013. She is currently a third year student in the Educational Psychology doctoral program at The Ohio State University with interests in motivation and peer interactions. This semester, she will be teaching 27617 and 27188 sections of Psychological Perspectives on Education, in Ramseyer Hall 166, between 9:35 -10:55 and 11:10 -12:30 on Mondays and Wednesdays. Kyler Cowgill (Educational Policy)

Kyler Cowgill received a Masters in Geography from Kent State University in 2014.  He is currently a second-year student in the Educational Policy program at The Ohio State University with interests in teacher evaluation and resistance movements/collective action within education. Jessica Cutshall (Counselor Education)

Cutshall, Jessica

Jessica Cutshall, LPC-CR earned her Master’s from The Ohio State University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She is currently a second year in the Counselor Education doctoral program. Jessica is interested in topics that promote well-being and growth for individuals and groups, including topics such as motivation, resilience, and critical thinking. Jessica teaches ESEPSY1259, an educational psychology class that teaches students how to learn and motivate themselves to succeed inside and outside of the classroom. For fall 2015, Jessica teaches on T/TH – 9:35AM – 10:55AM in Baker Hall West as well as 12:45-2:05PM in Younkin 250. You are welcome to stop by either class sessions to sit in and see what the class is about! Jessica is also a Greek House Director for Phi Kappa Tau. Mine Dogucu received her B.A. in Mathematics from Smith College in 2009 and her M.S. in Secondary School Mathematics and Science Education from Bogazici University in 2013. She is currently a third year PhD student in Quantitative Research, Evaluation and Measurement at the Ohio State University with interests in item response theory, factor analysis and missing data. Kaden J. Edwards (Counselor Education)

Edwards, Kaden

Kaden J. Edwards received his MA in Counselor Education from The Ohio State University in 2013, and is a Licensed Professional School Counselor in the state of Ohio. He is currently a 3rd year Doctoral student in Counselor Education at The Ohio State University, with interests in social justice, multicultural competence, advocacy, and LGBT issues in counseling. For the 2015-16 academic year, he will be acting as Supervisor of Supervisors for the School Counseling specialty track housed within the Counselor Education Master’s program. Through this assignment, Kaden will coordinate supervision and site placement needs for school counseling interns and practicum students, provide support to supervisors and faculty, and collaborate and consult with program stakeholders and community partners. Marissa Green (Educational Psychology)

Green, Marissa

Marissa Green received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in violin performance from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2011.  In 2015, she received her Master of Science degree in Psychology from Illinois State University.  Marissa is currently a second year doctoral student in the Educational Psychology program at The Ohio State University, and focuses her research and teaching efforts on student motivation and belonging.  This semester, she is teaching two sections of Educational Psychology (ESEPSY) 1259, “Individual Learning and Motivation: Strategies for Success in College.” on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  The first section is taught in Park-Stradley Hall 161 from 11:10 am until 12:30 pm as part of a collaboration with University Housing.  The second section is taught in Younkin Success Center 300 from 12:45 pm until 2:05 pm.  Marissa can be reached at green.1292@osu.edu.

James Kerr (Workforce Development and Education Program)

Kerr, James

James Kerr received a Master’s degree in Workforce Development and Education from Ohio State University in 2005. He is currently a doctoral candidate in the second year of dissertation writing in the Workforce Development and Education program at The Ohio State University, with interests in digital badges, educational technology, and higher education administration. Mike Nelson (Educational Technology)

Nelson, Mike

Mike Nelson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in education from the University of Michigan in 2008 and a Master of Education degree in instruction and curriculum from Grand Valley State University in 2014. He is currently a first-year doctoral student in the Educational Technology program at The Ohio State University. In the five years he taught high school English, Mike developed an interest in classroom technology integration, which he plans to turn into his research focus during his graduate education. Jamie Teeple received a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy, sociology, and linguistics from McGill University in 2008 and a Master of Education degree in educational theory and social foundations of education from the University of Toledo in 2013. He is currently a third year doctoral student in educational philosophy at The Ohio State University with interests in social justice education, literacy studies, media education, and experimental pedagogy.
