I have come to call Time management an art due to the respect I have for this skill. It’s is an acquired skill that over time of practice can be a habit. As a full time student who works about 36 hours a week, mastering this skill is very important. Here some tips I learnt on how to efficiently do this.

  1. The First step is to set your goals, think big picture, aka big goals then narrow them into smaller goals
  2. Allocate a set time to each activity or small goals set. Be sure to pace yourself, know your strengths and work with it. Do all this while keeping track of time , the best would be to set a timer.
  3. Set your priorities before you begin
  4. Do not attempt to multitask, fear of losing time we tend to do this but it never works, rather focus on one task and finish it.
  5. Limit Distractions, control your surroundings as much as possible. If possible create a work station that stimulates your concentration.
  6. Use digital tools such as calender’s. This course and app introduced called Trello , I recommend this to everyone, but other digital notes taking is good such as Google keep.
  7. Relax by taking interval breaks, ease the mind and get back in business.
