About Me
My name is Timothy Lake, and I am currently a fourth-year Computer Science and Engineering student at OSU with an expected graduation date of December 2018. I have a specialization in Game Development & Computer Graphics, and naturally have a passion for creating video games. Similarly, I love to make music. I am aspiring to combine these two hobbies of mine in my professional career in the future, where I hope to make music/sound effects for video games.
I pride myself in my creativeness and dedication to finish tasks I am assigned with. I consider myself a hard worker, and also quick to pick up new information as long as it interests me. I chose Computer Science as my major since, just like making music, I enjoy creating things from scratch. I find the process of starting with nothing and slowly building a final product to be very enjoyable, and programming allows me to do this while also satisfying my desire for critical thinking.
In addition to programming and making music, I also enjoy video production. I think this follows along closely with my love of creating things from scratch, as it is something else I can completely make myself and see a final result. In turn, I have made a YouTube channel centered around my passion for music production where I have gained a small following over the past two years. I find it to be a good balance between schoolwork, and I can directly see the impact I am making on a few peoples’ lives, which is very nice.
