Takeaways from the course

There are three main takeaways that I’ve received from this course:

  1. One of the most important things that I’ve learned is to figure out what your motivation is for a class and why you are taking a class in the first place. Often times, we may get stressed about the material being covered but we have to remember why we are even putting ourselves through this in the first place. By having this motivation, it will make your classes a little less stressful because you are doing this for a reason and you know the end goal.
  2. Another thing that I found useful was the use of SMART goals. Often times when I’m in a class or starting something new, I don’t have an end goal in mind. I’m just doing what I think is necessary to get to the end product. By setting short and long term goals, you can set yourself more accountable.
  3. One of the last things that I have found useful is the technology and resources that are available through OSU and even resources that help with time management. Often times we may think we are alone or that there is no help available, but there is and people are here to help you.
