Being a student is a very stressful job, and for some students reading is tip of that stressful iceberg. If you are a student, who is taking or will take online classes, this post might be beneficial to you. If you are taking online classes, you are on your own for the most part so you have to be really engaged in your reading. First thing you want to do is find the motivation/encouragement for you to learn because being motivated is extremely important. Second thing you what to do is find the place you will not be distracted. While reading long chapters, take breaks, and try to retain as much information as you can. While reading you might want to take notes because it will be extremely useful during exam time. Don’t finish the entire chapter in one sitting because it will be exhausting, rather take breaks and keep your mind fresh. There are lots of information in the internet that will help you do well in class, so do some research and find the best website with most information. I learned that I am visual and kinesthetic learner. I already look use some of the examples given in the course, and the one I use most frequently is not limiting myself to only books. I use different sites like Khan Academy, YouTube, and quizlets. One thing I could improve over the next few weeks is expanding my network. I will try to connect with more people like researchers and scholars because they will have the most information to share.
