We don’t believe in “busy work.”
Although we have great discussions in class, our weekly writing assignments, exams, and final term paper are where you really get to the heart of the matter.
They’ve been intentionally created to help you synthesize and process what we learn in class–not to waste your time or simply fill in the grade book.
Assignments are meant to be thought-provoking, sometimes challenging, and hopefully inspiring!
We value your time and care about more than just grades on tests. Therefore, we hope you’ll truly put the time you need into every week’s reading response and other homework assignments.
We value independent thinking, deep discussion, and an interdisciplinary approach to lifelong learning.
This class works best when everyone is committed to these values, too. We hope you will join us on our lifelong quest for understanding and knowledge. We love teaching about the intersections between religion and the environment, and we hope you will enjoy it too!
