Week 7: Spiritual Anthropologies I (Insecurity, Sin, and the Self)

This week we compare and contrast the classic theological¬†anthropology of the¬†liberal protestant theologian, Reinhold Niebuhr, and that of a Buddhist scholar, David Loy, who each describe the situation of the human person in terms of their religious understanding with an eye toward explaining the existential dilemmas of being human.¬† The question for us, however, is: “what does this mean for human relations with the natural world?”
