Week 7: Spiritual Anthropologies I (Insecurity, Sin, and the Self)

This week we compare and contrast the classic theological anthropology of the liberal protestant theologian, Reinhold Niebuhr, and that of a Buddhist scholar, David Loy, who each describe the situation of the human person in terms of their religious understanding with an eye toward explaining the existential dilemmas of being human.  The question for us, however, is: “what does this mean for human relations with the natural world?”
