Why Ocean Energy?

Ocean Energy has the potential to breakthrough as a sustainable and renewable energy source for years to come. Currently, carbon emissions are increasing at an alarming rate with minimal signs of stopping. As shown below¹, according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), emissions have eclipsed 9,000 tons.

These carbon emission have led to the depletion of the ozone layer above the Earth’s surface. The ozone layer is made up of naturally occurring gas the protects the surface of the Earth from harmful ultraviolet rays produced by the sun. Over the course of the last 100 years, the 0zone layer has depleted nearly 20%!²

With this in mind, the need for energy sources that do not produce pollutants is higher than ever. Ocean Energy produces NO carbon emissions or other pollutants into the environment. Ocean Energy could be the future of renewable energy. It is important that it receives the attention that it deserves!
