The team constructed two AEV design concepts, named Prototype 1 and Prototype 2 respectively, that ran on a full-track coding. The two designs used two different coding, depending on the propeller configuration that was used. Prototype 1 was constructed by modifying the propeller placement where the propellers were placed at each side of the AEV. Prototype 2 was built by using one of the original design proposed on Lab 5. Both designs were then tested on the track to observe their behavior while completing the MCR.
Takeaways
- Design – Every major change in the AEV’s design would considerably have different energy usage.
- Coding – Creative use of Arduino functions would result in a more efficient run to complete MCR.
- General – Consistency in the AEV’s movement is a major factor for overall run on track.
