The Problem

According to the US Department of Commerce, around 10% of all sales in 2019 were online and has been growing at a pace of over 10% per year. All of these items are delivered directly to the consumer by means of FedEx, UPS, or the website’s own delivery system. However, online consumer complaints show that there is an opportunity for improvement in terms of the speed, handling, and efficiency of shipments.

The Task

Our task is to enhance the shipment infrastructure to improve the experience of shipping goods, focusing on consistent shipments, faster shipments, lower shipment costs, and accurate shipment dates. We will also improve on common areas that are currently lacking such handling of packages, tracking, and easy returns. Our solution is originally intended to be used by companies that want to ship their products to consumers, however, our solution is intended to be open to everyone and can also be used by companies that want to ship their products internally or by the general public that wants to ship packages to each other.
