Recycling is hard. It may seem like it’s not, but trust us, it is.
Here in the United States, and therefore at OSU, we use all-in-one bins where all recyclables are collected to then be sorted in recycling plants. This simplicity may seem like a good thing, but it actually leads to problems such as lack of awareness of what is going into the bins, and an increased risk for contamination.
Group C is developing solutions to make recycling on campus more efficient and engaging.
