Advanced Energy Vehicle

The Concept of an Advance Energy Vehicle or AEV is to be a mode of transportation that is safe and energy-efficient. An Advanced Energy Vehicle design is important because there is less access to power on the Moon. A power-efficient design will allow for less use of vital and meager power on the Moon, but will still be able to complete the mission of transporting cargo and people. Factors such as the Moon’s lessened gravity and no air resistance were taken into account when designing and creating the AEV design.

First, three designs were created and tested various times to run the multiple tasks needed for the transportation of tourists and cargo. Using what we learned from each design and testing we arrived at our final design. All testing was done on Earth with a scaled-down version of the track and AEV.

Some changes that would have to be implemented for the vehicle would be the propulsion system. having low gravity and no air or air resistance the idea would be to change the fan blades with rocket propulsion and stabilizers.

Having less gravity the level of propulsion and use of fuel would be very low because the AEV would be able to glide through with ease and use little fuel to slow and keep stable to each destination.
After the mission is complete the AEV would be then outfitted with the proper propulsion systems and then launched into space for use on the Moon.
