The city of Columbus was awarded a total of $50 million dollars for the purposes of continuing the goal of maintaining the status of a smart city. This money came from the U.S. Department of Transportation as well as Vulcan Incorporated. Some of these funds were designated for the use of creating a a solid and safe form of transportation for the area of Linden, Ohio which has become an urban desert which lacks sufficient forms of transportation. The allotted funds were distributed between 6 companies containing 3 divisions each to research and create the best possible form of transportation. The following provides the allotted budget and costs of this research project.
