Advanced R&D 3 – Propeller Testing

The team will conduct a series of tests on different types of propellers. Meaning, the team will test each type of propeller on the AEV and analyze the energy efficiency based upon distance covered, along with the performance output of each using the data collection tool in MATLAB. From there, the group will be able to determine which propeller is best suited for the design of the AEV and will use that propeller for the final performance test, since the final test takes into consideration the total energy output of the AEV. The team expects to find that the current propellers being used on the AEV are the best ones available, but these tests will determine the validity of that statement.
