Exercise Two

The reflectance sensors are able to tell how many times the wheel has been rotated around. This allows the programmer to have the wheels turn 4 times, and then stop. Because the programmer knows the radius of the wheel, the distance that the MCR travels can be approximated. The sensor works because the inside of the wheel has a metal coating that reflects light back at the sensor, allowing the sensor to tell how many times that metal coating passes it.
