Date: 3/20/19
Time: 10:20 am – 11:15 am
Location: Hitchcock Hall 308
Attendees: Adam Crock, Lauren Kinsey, Madison Weiss, and Jacob Domo
Topics Discussed: The team had their second day of work on performance test one but they passed performance test 1 during the first lab period on Monday. The team chose to look ahead and to work on their code for performance test 2 where the AEV has to stop at the stop sign for seven seconds, go through the stop sign, gently pick up the caboose, and move out of the loading zone. The team also discussed potential ideas for advanced research and development 3 and they decided they will construct their AEV using their 3D printed parts and compare its performance to their first AEV prototype.
Upcoming Tasks: Madison needs to keep updating meeting minutes and needs to upload the potential arduino code to the website for performance test 2. Lauren needs to keep updating the website and review the parts she needs to present on. Jacob needs to review the slides that he will be presenting on. Adam will need to review the slides he is presenting on.
Meeting 31:
Date: 3/21/19
Time: 11:10 am – 12:30 pm
Location: Hitchcock Hall 224
Attendees: Adam Crock, Lauren Kinsey, Madison Weiss, and Jacob Domo
Topics Discussed: The team had their advanced research and development oral presentation. The team spent most of the lab period listening to other groups present so they did not have much time to meet. They did, however, learn a lot from other groups that presented.
Upcoming Tasks: Madison will keep updating meeting minutes and will work on researching codes. Lauren will keep updating the website. Jacob and Adam need to work together to construct the new AEV and to ensure it will work with the track.
Meeting 32:
Date: 3/25/19
Time: 10:20 am – 11:15 am
Location: Hitchcock Hall 308
Attendees: Adam Crock, Lauren Kinsey, and Jacob Domo
Topics Discussed: The team had their first day of work on performance test two. The team had minimal time to work on the performance test two because they had their assembly midterm. Madison was not at the exam because she had to take hers at a different time because she has accommodations. Madison has the latest codes on her computer, so the team was unable to test. The team made the most of their time by discussing what areas their code lacked in to have a game plan for Wednesday so they would be able to pass performance test two.
Upcoming Tasks: Madison needs to keep updating meeting minutes, Lauren needs to keep updating the website, and Adam and Jacob need to keep working on the AEV prototype one design to ensure it is ready to run when the team is ready to move onto advanced research and development part three.
Meeting 33:
Date: 3/27/19
Time: 10:20 am – 11:15 am
Location: Hitchcock Hall 308
Attendees: Adam Crock, Lauren Kinsey, Madison Weiss, and Jacob Domo
Topics Discussed: The team had their second day of work on performance test two. The team worked nearly the entire lab period to accomplish their goal of passing performance test two. The team had to come in and recode the AEV to pass the test which took up all but 10 minutes of the lab period. The team did have a chance to figure out what they wanted to test for advanced research and development three. The team decided to test rapid prototyping. Their new AEV model will be compared to the old model to see which is better in terms of energy consumption, time, and cost.
Upcoming Tasks: Madison needs to keep updating meeting minutes, Lauren needs to keep updating the website, and Adam and Jacob need to keep working on the AEV prototype one design to ensure it is ready to run when the team is ready to move onto advanced research and development part three.
Meeting 34:
Date: 3/28/19
Time: 11:10 am – 12:30 pm
Location: Hitchcock Hall 224
Attendees: Adam Crock, Lauren Kinsey, Madison Weiss, and Jacob Domo
Topics Discussed: The team was given the entire lab period to work on their advanced research and development testing three. The team came in with their built AEV ready to test. The team realized after one run that the very edge of one of the propellers was hitting the rail. This lead to the team rearranging their AEV multiple times to try to get the current AEV body to work. The team had no luck. The team chose to delegate work so Adam and Jacob worked on rearranging the AEV while Madison and Lauren updated the website and gathered information from other teams in the company to get some new ideas.
Upcoming Tasks: Madison needs to keep updating meeting minutes, Lauren needs to keep updating the website, and Adam and Jacob need to think of a solution that will prevent the propeller from hitting the rail and have it ready by the next lab period.
Meeting 35:
Date: 4/1/19
Time: 10:20 am – 11:15 am
Location: Hitchcock Hall 308
Attendees: Adam Crock, Lauren Kinsey, Madison Weiss, and Jacob Domo
Topics Discussed: The team had their second day of work on advanced research and development three. The team was able to come in and get a hole drilled into their AEV part, so they were able to rebuild it so it could run along the track without the propellers hitting the track. The team was then able to run the new AEV through the same tests that the old AEV completed. The team quickly realized the new AEV was much lighter and in turn faster which meant that their previous codes were now too powerful for the new AEV.
Upcoming Tasks: Madison needs to keep updating meeting minutes and needs to work on developing a new code to accommodate the new AEV. Lauren needs to keep updating the website and needs to research servos. Adam needs to work on designing an arm for the servo whether it is 3D printed or made of a common household item. Jacob needs to start the progress report by creating a document and assigning tasks to each member.
Meeting 36:
Date: 4/3/19
Time: 10:20 am – 11:15 am
Location: Hitchcock Hall 308
Attendees: Adam Crock, Lauren Kinsey, Madison Weiss, and Jacob Domo
Topics Discussed: The team had their final day of work on advanced research and development three. The team was able to run more tests that their previous AEV had been through to compare it to the new one. The team was also able to discuss the progress report, which they started last night upon Jacob sending out the document.
Upcoming Tasks: Madison needs to keep updating meeting minutes and needs to upload the new AEV code versus the old AEV code and then analyze them. Lauren needs to keep updating the website and needs to take to group F about how to use a servo. Jacob needs to read through the process report and proofread it. Adam needs to keep working the servo arm so the team will be able to test it before the final performance run.
