Meeting 35:
Date: 4/1/19
Time: 10:20 am – 11:15 am
Location: Hitchcock Hall 308
Attendees: Adam Crock, Lauren Kinsey, Madison Weiss, and Jacob Domo
Topics Discussed: The team had their second day of work on advanced research and development 3. The team was able to come in and get a hole drilled into their AEV part, so they were able to rebuild it so it could run along the track without the propellers hitting the track. The team was then able to run the new AEV through the same tests that the old AEV completed. The team quickly realized the new AEV was much lighter and in turn faster which meant that their previous codes were now too powerful for the new AEV.
Upcoming Tasks: Madison needs to keep updating meeting minutes and needs to work on developing a new code to accommodate the new AEV. Lauren needs to keep updating the website and needs to research servos. Adam needs to work on designing an arm for the servo whether it is 3D printed or made of a common household item. Jacob needs to start the progress report by creating a document and assigning tasks to each member.
Meeting 36:
Date: 4/3/19
Time: 10:20 am – 11:15 am
Location: Hitchcock Hall 308
Attendees: Adam Crock, Lauren Kinsey, Madison Weiss, and Jacob Domo
Topics Discussed: The team had their final day of work on advanced research and development 3. The team was able to run more tests that their previous AEV had been through to compare it to the new one. The team was also able to discuss the progress report, which they started last night upon Jacob sending out the document.
Upcoming Tasks: Madison needs to keep updating meeting minutes and needs to upload the new AEV code versus the old AEV code and then analyze them. Lauren needs to keep updating the website and needs to take to group F about how to use a servo. Jacob needs to read through the process report and proofread it. Adam needs to keep working the servo arm so the team will be able to test it before the final performance run.
Meeting 37:
Date: 4/4/19
Time: 11:10 am – 12:30 pm
Location: Hitchcock Hall 224
Attendees: Adam Crock, Lauren Kinsey, Madison Weiss, and Jacob Domo
Topics Discussed: The team had their first of two workdays to work on the code for the final performance test. The team worked together to work on making any and all changes that they needed to ensure that the AEV would pass the performance test. The team focused on changing the code and on trying out the servo that they used in their newly designed arm.
Upcoming Tasks: Madison needs to keep updating meeting minutes, Lauren needs to keep updating the website, Jacob needs to proofread the website and the meeting minutes, and Adam needs to find out the weights of all 3D printed parts.
Meeting 38:
Date: 4/8/19
Time: 10:20 am – 11:15 pm
Location: Hitchcock Hall 308
Attendees: Adam Crock, Lauren Kinsey, Madison Weiss, and Jacob Domo
Topics Discussed: The team had their second of two workdays to work on the code for the final performance test. The team continued to work together to make any and all changes that they needed to ensure that the AEV would pass the performance test. The team focused on changing the code and using the new AEV arm that was designed to fit a servo into to stop more accurately. The team was able to find a working final performance test code with the servo.
Upcoming Tasks: Madison needs to keep updating meeting minutes, Lauren needs to keep updating the website, Jacob needs to proofread the website and the meeting minutes, and Adam needs to design an arm that can accommodate the servo.
Meeting 39:
Date: 4/10/19
Time: 10:20 am – 11:15 am
Location: Hitchcock Hall 308
Attendees: Adam Crock, Lauren Kinsey, Madison Weiss, and Jacob Domo
Topics Discussed: The team had their first of two days of final testing. The team was able to get one run in on this day although it was not the most accurate run. The team had to touch the AEV three times to get it to complete the run and the final score of the run was a 37/40. This lead to the team having to change their code after this test to make their AEV go further to pass the performance test. The team got their code close to perfect by the end of the lab period.
Upcoming Tasks: Madison needs to keep updating meeting minutes, Lauren needs to keep updating the website, Jacob needs to organize the codes and graphs for the runs, and Adam needs to work on making the servo hit the wheel at a better angle.
Meeting 40:
Date: 4/11/19
Time: 11:10 am – 12:30 pm
Location: Hitchcock Hall 224
Attendees: Adam Crock, Lauren Kinsey, Madison Weiss, and Jacob Domo
Topics Discussed: The team had their second and final day of the final testing. The team was able to get two more runs in on this day and one run went poorly while the other run was able to earn full marks. The team was happy with their final run because the team was able to score a 38.5/40 overall.
Upcoming Tasks: Madison needs to keep updating meeting minutes, Lauren needs to keep updating the website, Jacob needs to organize the codes and graphs for the runs, and Adam needs to work on finding the weights of the AEV parts.
Meeting 41:
Date: 4/15/19
Time: 10:20 am – 11:15 am
Location: Hitchcock Hall 308
Attendees: Adam Crock, Lauren Kinsey, Madison Weiss, and Jacob Domo
Topics Discussed: The team had their lab kit turn in day today. Each member of the team had to complete an engineering challenge survey which took 10 minutes. The team spent most of their time working on the website, the CDR, and talking over the presentation.
Upcoming Tasks: Madison needs to keep updating meeting minutes and work on fixing the CDR based on the TA’s comments on the CDR draft. Lauren needs to keep updating the website and work on fixing the CDR based on the TA’s comments on the CDR draft. Jacob needs to work on fixing the CDR based on the TA’s comments on the CDR draft. Adam needs to update sections of the CDR with additional information about how the 3D printed parts affected the final performance test.
