Advanced Research – Power Efficiency

The first advanced research conducted was to determine the most efficient percent power to run the AEV at. The experiment was run on a straight, flat track. By finding the most efficient power, energy use and time taken to travel could be minimized. In the Power Efficiency graph displayed below, it is obvious that 25% power is far too slow, increasing overall energy usage. The range of 35-50% power all took similar times to travel the same distance. Due to this, the lower powers of that range would be the most efficient in energy usage. It was concluded that 35% and 40% power are the most efficient percent powers.
