March

3/4/2019 – Hitchcock Hall 308 – 10:20 am – 11:15 am – All members attended.

Objective: The team realized the 3-D printed brake would not be completed in time for testing, so the team will now conduct motor configuration tests on the AEV. The team will laser cut arm that will allow the servo to be attached to the AEV and will begin running tests with the motor configurations.

Completed Tasks:

  • Tyler: Drafted and laser-cut a new arm for the AEV that allows the servo to be directly applied as a brake to the wheels.
  • Tyler: Updated Advanced Research Methodologies
  • Donghyun and Yuqing: Ran 5 test runs of the AEV with the motors in the “push” configuration.

Tasks to be Completed:

  • Tyler and Yuqing: Attach the servo to the new arm and reconfigure the AEV to improve balance.
  • Tyler: Update website and website research methodologies.

3/6/2019 – Hitchcock Hall 308 – 10:20 am – 11:15 am – All members attended.

Objective: The team will conduct test runs on the AEV with the motors in the “pull” configuration.

Completed Tasks:

  • All: Ran 5 test runs of the AEV with the motors in the “pull” configuration.
  • Tyler: Pulled data off of the Arduino using the data extraction tool and imported it into Excel.

Tasks to be Completed:

  • Tyler: Update website with documentation.
