Grant Proposal (P)

After the design of each individual was analyzed, the team came up with a shell design in order to protect and hopefully enable the AEV to be more aerodynamic. If the design was deemed good enough by the votes from the class, it would receive up to full funding from the city. This funding would have allowed us to progress much more in the design since the budget only allows for so many modifications and tests with the AEV shell. With the extra money, many improvements could have been made freely and in the long run, make the quality of life inside the vehicle superior. However, the design did not receive enough votes to pass the grant.

This is the team’s first iteration in designing the AEV passenger seating and cockpit. It will house the most of the important electronics to protect them from outside particles, as well as give passengers a space to seat in during travel. The shell also gives the aesthetic of a trolley cart or a canoe.

Our AEV shell contains 2 parts: the main shell and a cover to protect the top/access the electronics.
