This page shows the parts and dimensions used to create the first canoe design.
Although this shell was thought to work, the team discovered it was too bulky after an initial test. The custom part was far too heavy for the AEV to travel correctly since the back wheel lifted off the track from the frontal load. No data was retrieved from this run because the back wheel, which contained the reflective sensors, did not spin.
