Team Meeting Minutes

January 9- Hitchcock 11:10

This was the first lab of the AEV project. All four team members were present. Our team talked and got to know each other. We exchanged phone numbers and Hannah made a group chat so we can communicate in the future.

January 30- Drackett Study Room 8:30

This was the first time our team met outside of lab. All four members were present. We created the team working agreement and talked about how we would handle future meetings.

February 6- Hitchcock 11:10

All four members were present. We looked at the assignments coming up and decided when to meet to work on them.

February 12- Drackett Lobby Study Room 5:00

All four members were present. We all worked on the website and grant proposal. Hannah worked on Website Update and completed the progress report questions. We divided up parts of the progress report. Jackson worked on the summary of the progress report. Jamie worked on Results and Analysis. Katelyn worked on completing meeting minutes and creating the final drawing for the AEV. We decided to meet tomorrow to finish up the grant proposal.

February 13- Drackett Lobby Study Room 7:15

All four members were present. Jamie finished our grant proposal, and Katelyn created the part in SolidWorks. Hannah analyzed the data for the progress report. Jackson finished the progress report. We prepared our presentation for the grant proposal.

February 19- Hitchcock 10:20

All four members present. We decided who would be the representatives for the committee meeting tomorrow. Katelyn is going to be the representative for Human Relations. Hannah will be  the representative for Public Relations. Jackson and Jamie will both be representatives for Research and Development. Our team also decided what we would be focusing on during the next few labs. We will be working on testing prototype parts since we received funding from the grant proposal.

February 20- Hitchcock 11:10

All four members were present.  Katelyn and Hannah read over the reflectance sensor manual while Jamie assembled the team’s chosen design for the AEV (using pieces already present), and Jackson worked on variations of code to test.  Once the reflectance sensor test ran successfully, the AEV was placed on the tracks for the first time, and at a power of 80% (indicating that the AEV had a high weight), allowed the AEV to move down the track.

February 27- Hitchcock 11:10

All four members were present.  Katelyn worked on modifying the prototyped part in Solidworks to be the most lightweight and make sure it fit all requirements for 3D printing and laser-cutting, and then sent to piece to be created.  Jamie and Hannah worked on assembling a lightweight version of the protyped part with the parts already present in the AEV kit. Jackson continued to write codes to be tested on the track. The AEV run on the track, but it was not obeying the goToAbsolutePositon command.

February 28- Hitchcock 10:20

All four members were present.  To begin to solve the goToAboslutePosition problem, a goToRelativePosition command was implemented to ensure the AEV was measuring the distance it was travelling.  This was not working. A reflectance sensor test was performed to ensure the sensors were working. They were working, but the position function still wasn’t. After switching the orientation of the reflectance sensors the command performs as expected.

March 3- Drackett Lobby Study Room 1:00

Jackson, Hannah, and Katelyn present. We made changes to Progress Report 1 and resubmitted for a better grade. The main changes made were adding comments to the code, updating the future schedule, and correcting the forward looking summary.

March 5- Hitchcock 10:20

All members present. We started working on Performance Test 1 and practiced running it on the track. Jamie and Hannah worked on the code and Katelyn and Jamie tested it on the track. We had problems with the reflective sensors again but realized that they were not secured close enough to the wheel.

March 6- Hitchcock 11:10

All members present. We all worked on completing the Performance Test and making changed to our code. We completed it successfully by the end of class.

March 7- Hitchcock 10:20

All members present. We all worked on collecting data for the the reflective sensor Advanced R&D lab. Hannah ran the tests on her computer and everyone wrote up a summary of the data.

March 18- Drackett Lobby Study Room 6:30

All members present. Jackson worked on creating the upcoming schedule for the next few weeks. Hannah analyzed the results from our labs and wrote the results section of the Progress Report. Jamie worked on putting all of the information together and wrote the summary. Katelyn wrote about the plans for the future and discussed the future goals. All four members checked over the final report and we turned it in.

March 19-Hitchcock 10:20

All members were present.  Jamie, Hannah, and Katelyn worked on completing website

update 3 by transferring work from the progress report and each person’s notes onto the

website.  Hannah also worked on formatting the website tabs.  Jackson worked on the code for Performance Test 2 with help from Jamie.

March 20-Hitchcock 11:10

All members were present.  The entire team worked on running codes written by

Jackson for performance test 2.  The team successfully completed performance test 2 at

the end of the class period.  Katelyn and Jamie also wrote the slides for the oral presentation and each member was assigned a slide to present.

March 20-Drackett Study Lobby 7:30

All members were present.  The team reviewed the slides for the oral presentation and

practiced presenting as a group.

March 21-Hitchcock 10:20

All members were present.  The oral presentation was completed, which detailed the

team’s current work to the other teams in Baker International.

March 26-Hitchcock 10:20

All members were present.  The team decided how to tackle the CDR and assigned

each member their sections to write.  With these parts assigned, the team began

working on the individual parts.

March 26- Drackett Study Lobby 7:30

All members were present.  Each team member completed his or her individual parts of

the CDR.  The CDR was then proofread as a group and submitted.

March 27-Hitchcock 11:10

All members were present.  The team completed committee meeting 2 with each member in his or her respected division.  The team discussed what we wanted to complete for

our third methodology.  After choosing propeller configuration, we wrote our third

methodology and planned how we would test propeller configuration.

March 28- Hitchcock 10:20

All members were present.  After Exam 4, we began testing propeller configuration with

different amounts of weight and power inputs.  The team also received a cost estimate

from Rohit based on performance test 2.

April 2- Hitchcock 10:20

Jackson, Hannah, and Katelyn present. Jackson programmed the code into the AEV and

the team finished collecting data for A R&D 3. After this, the three members started

working on Progress Report three and divided up the sections. Jackson also started working on the code for the final performance test.

April 3- Hitchcock 11:10
