Decisions:
We are going to meet this weekend to work on our website update and the time vs power and power vs distance graphs. We are meeting because we were not able to finish everything in class.
Reflections:
We should have used the larger propellers because even though our code was correct, our vehicle didn’t move very much. The larger propellers would have pushed the vehicle farther.

Objective:
Send in part files and complete the battery testing
To do/Actions Items:
Convert Gear Assembly to STL – Keith
Email the part file to be printed – Keith
Write Code for Battery Tester – Mikaela
Test Battery with Sample Vehicle – ALL
Decisions: We decided to decrease the power and distance by half for the battery testing.
Reflections: We NEED to start testing
We decided to measure time as well. We noticed that the battery has a steady decrease in voltage but its very minimal. We will also need to update our methodology.

To do/Actions Items:
Write code – Mikaela
Complete Reflectance Test – Kevin
Complete Website Update – Keith & Erica
Decisions: We decided to reprint one of our gears with different dimensions to hopefully ensure a correct fit.
Reflections: We should have taken the tolerance of the 3D printer into consideration with our gear assembly.

Fix Gears Holes – Kevin & Erica
Assemble AEV with Customized Parts – ALL
Complete Performance Test – ALL
Format Progress Report – Keith
Decisions:
Reflections: Our holes on our customized parts were a tiny bit too small so we had to file them to make them larger. Also we have to figure out a way for our gear to attach to the wheel without supergluing it.

Assemble the final vehicle design with customized parts & Complete Performance test
To do/Actions Items:
Download the code – Kevin
Perform test – ALL
Decisions: we need to order a near gear because ours is wearing out.
Reflections: The power needed varies so much between runs so we need to figure out a way to determine what it will be on a given run. The screws must be tight or the performance will be off. ____________________________________________________________________________

To do/Actions Items:
Create an outline for CDR – Keith
Create Code for PT 2 – Mikaela
Decisions:
We decided to add hot glue to the motor gear connection to prevent slip and a 3rd L bracket to the base to make it more stable.
Reflections:
Our wheels were not aligned properly and it made a big difference in the performance of our vehicle.

To do/Actions Items:
Create an outline for PR3 – Keith
Perform PT2 – ALL
Decisions:
We decided that we eventually want to implement reflectance sensors into our design because right now, it is hard to judge how much power and time we will need because the battery power supplied varies so much between runs/batteries.
Reflections:
If we can add the reflectance sensors to our design, it should be very accurate because our vehicle has nearly an instantaneous stop when it brakes.

Test reflectance sensors with a black background vs a pink -Erica
Test to determine if extra traction from rubber bands makes a difference in the performance of the vehicle -Keith
Work on Oral Presentation Draft -Keith
Decisions: We decided to not use rubber bands because it caused problems. We also decided to add a reverse brake method to make the vehicle brake quicker and not glide.
Reflections: We noticed that the rubber bands created an inconsistency
in the distance traveled.
