The engineering team at Team D was tasked with creating a more efficient AEV. The team began to evaluate different aspects of the AEV to produce the best vehicle possible. The optimization stage was combined with specific objectives to complete on the main track, while analyzing different parts of the AEV.
The first optimization stage involved evaluating the design. The team decided on two final designs to test. After this stage, the team decided on what design to move forward with in the coming stages.
The second stage involved evaluating the software that is used in the AEV. The engineers tested two different methods in controlling the AEV to determine which one best met their goals moving forward.
The third stage was a final test of how the team had progressed and made decisions. The team was to take all that they had learned and implement those methods into the final optimization stage.
