Key Areas and Priorities

Our team wants to make the most efficient AEV for the least cost. Our priorities  are to conduct research to try to make an AEV that remains stable on the track, is durable enough to not fall apart, safe enough to not hurt anybody, and remain low in cost. Our key areas are to make an AEV that has the best power to weight ratio, we will do this by conducting research with our various designs on a monorail system and record our data with our Arduino Nano microcontroller.

 

Approach

Designing a lightweight, cost effective, aerodynamic AEV is the most important aspect of the design. In order to accomplish these goals, we plan to stick with the most low cost design available by using multiple parts distributed throughout the vehicle in order to have a balanced, lightweight, and aerodynamic design.

 

Evolution of Design

 

The original design is very bulky with unneeded parts that add excess weight and slow the AEV down.

 

In the final design, thought was taken to make the AEV as light as possible with no unneeded parts. The new sleek design makes the AEV fast while remaining safe. Our costumers will feel have a smooth ride the the stability of our design provides.
