Performance Test 1 Goal: Pass the AEV through the gate
- Wanted a consistent stopping point
- Used goToAbsolutePosition for Code
- Sharp reverse and burst of energy for braking
Braking was inconsistant
- Attributed to the wheel not having enough traction
- Experimented to find a rubber band that was consistently able to make contact
Engineers had a successful run.
Performance Test 2 Goal: Pass the AEV through the gate, link with the caboose and begin the return to the start.
- Still had gate trouble (INCONSISTENT)
- Had to switch from Absolute Position to Relative Position
- A softer brake was used to prevent caboose recoil
The engineers were successful in reaching the caboose and beginning to bring it back towards the gate, but the performance test as a whole worked only if the AEV stopped between the sensors at the gate.
Final Performance Test Goal: Pass the AEV through the gate, link with the caboose, return to the gate and return to the starting position.
Still having consistence issues
Determined that insecure reflectance sensors caused inconsistencies

Successful final performance test
