Lab 2: Motor Configuration/Quantity

More trials were conducted, however these are the important results:

  • Having one motor pulling the AEV was very inefficient and didn’t cover much distance.
  • Having one motor pushing the AEV resulted in good energy use initially, and adequate distance.
  • Having two motors pushing, while using more energy initially, provided a large boost in distance.
  • Because of these results, the team is going to go with the two motor configuration, saving energy in the long run by coasting the AEV after initial power supply.
